I am Captain Fred Pepe of Crystal River, Florida. I am U.S.C.G. certified and insured. I am also a member of the Florida Guides Association and the National Association of Charterboat Operators. I also hold a Special Use Permit for those wishing to observe the manatees in their natural habitat of spring fed waters of Kings Bay or to swim with the manatees, and I educate my clients about the wildlife in the area.
Originally, I am from the New England area and fished the Atlantic for many years. I have been in Florida since 1988 and have fished both the Atlantic coast and the Gulf of Mexico waters and I have resided in the Nature Coast Area since 2003. Most of my adult life was spent working in the marine industry after proudly serving in the U.S. Navy.
I have a love and respect for the environment and a wonder of all God's creatures that inhabit it. I am a strong supporter of good stewardship of the available resources and I am a strong supporter of catch and release, but have no problem with clients keeping the fish that they work so hard to catch.
